Eureka Valley Evening Primrose

March 2016

$25.00$1,600.00

This perennial plant (Oenothera californica ssp. eurekensis) is endemic to Eureka Valley, meaning it grows no other place in the world other than the Eureka Dunes. For some years beginning in 1978 it was enlisted as endangered; however, that designation has now been lifted with the plant’s recovery. Most often, Eureka Valley Evening Primrose is white—not sure how commonly it is to see it yellow as we have it here. Beautiful!
