Receding Fog at Zabriskie Point

Magical event to witness! These are the badlands of the Northern Blacks, from the popular Zabriskie Point where an otherworldly erosional landscape offers the observer a great scene from Mother Nature’s book of earthly art. Amazingly, and certainly very rarely, when I arrived at Zabriskie Point, I stood there totally in the clouds. Couldn’t see anything as one would ordinarily: the Red Cathedral, Manly Beacon, Golden Canyon, Tucki Mountain, and Telescope Peak (11,039 ft, 3,365 m). I waited a full hour—chatting in German with 2 Austrian tourists—before the fog slowly began to recede, and I got my chance to do this photograph. Very cool! The sediments are from the 5 million-year-old extinct Furnace Creek Lake.

  1. Printed on Epson medium using Epson printers and Epson-authorized inks, using high resolution settings; printers: Epson P5370, Epson ProStylus 7880, Epson SureColor P9570.
  2. All compositions were printed by the photographer himself, Martin J. Blahnik; and all of them were carefully scrutinized by him to be defect-free when released for delivery to the purchaser.
  3. To protect the purchaser’s investment, it is important to consider image lamination soon after delivery.
  4. Prices and image sizes listed on this website are approximate; final prices and image sizes will be mutually agreed upon in email exchanges between the purchaser and the photographer Blahnik.
  5. Dr. Blahnik guarantees to remain fair-minded and timely in addressing any purchaser concerns or questions; email: [email protected].

Within 10 days of purchaser receiving a delivered composition where defects are identified, photographer Blahnik will accept return delivery and reprinting of the identical composition for the purchaser, with purchaser paying delivery costs back and Dr. Blahnik paying delivery costs of the image to the purchaser.
