Volcanic Goldfield

March 2005

$25.00$1,600.00

This reddish volcanic remanent isolated on the valley floor with snowy Telescope Peak (11,039 ft, 3,365 m) towering in the distance, is obviously a comfortable place for Death Valley Desert Gold (Geraea canescens) to take root and grow in lovingly fashion. On the left aspect of the Panamint Range in this scene, hiding somewhere there is Warm Springs Canyon; that’s where, on New Year’s Eve 1968, Charles Manson drove the hippie cult’s school bus to Barker Ranch (see Chapter Six of my book).
